So for atleast the next week my life is going to be hectic. Yesterday a member of my team was let go due to performance issue, which means we are now short handed. We have a person in line to take is spot, but said person on vacation until the start of August, and then will have to be trained, so the next few weeks are going to be busy, hectic, and just plain stressful. I have a great boss that it willing to step in and help, so maybe it won't be as difficult and I am imagining it.
Done venting my fretting, and now I should get back to work.

So my training is going slowly, but I am walking and making progress.
Not only do am I training but now I need to start and focus on my funding raising, so here is the donation widget:
I know that for many donating money is not a option, so I have been looking into other fund raising options and found one where in which writing reviews of local business helps me fund raise. Once registered at http://www.insiderpages.com/fundraisers/Breast-Cancer-3-Day-M-Olson-0906, fundraiser participants can conveniently write reviews on their favorite local business from work or home, day or night, throughout the fundraising period. For each qualifying review written between 06/01/09-06/23/09, Insider Pages will make a donation toward my fundraising goal. For those that I live close to me I am also collecting used printer cartridges (inkjet and laser) and used cell phones to be recycled. Just let me know I will arrange a time to pick them up. Now I should get back to work.

So I was planning on posting yesterday, but then was to tired to boot up the laptop. Walked 3 miles on my treadmill, at a 20 minute mile pace. I varied the incline as follows: 0.5 mile incline 7, 0.5 mile incline 5, 1.0 mile incline 3, and 1.0 mile incline 1.5. Though the truth be told started a 7 by mistake as it was already set at 7, but it worked out.
My back doesn't hurt as much this morning as it did on Sunday morning after my Saturday walk which I am taking as a good sign. We will see what my PT says today about it.
Now I must wake up the rest of the way and make my way to work.

So this weekend my 3-day team got together and did a training walk. It was great to meet all of my team members, though I wish I would have been able to do the whole walk with them. I was able to do the first loop and complete 3.5 miles. We kept a good pace of an 18 minute mile. Though I wanted to do more I am glad that I didn't because my back by the time I got home my back was really started to hurt, and if I had continued I would have been even worse.
Slow but steady, that is how I am going to have to train.

So I have been on the weight loss program for just over two weeks. In my appointment on Friday my weigh in showed that I had lost ~10lbs since I started the program. I know that I won't continue losing at this rate (one it is not healthly, and two my body with adjust to the new diet), but it is nice to be able to see progress is being made.

Over that last week and a half I fell like I running from one doctors appointment to another. I have done a sleep test, large amount of blood work, EKG, introduction counseling session and orientation all as so that when I go to my New Patient appointment on Thursday that they have a complete overview of my health before they fine tune the program to fit my needs.
So I technically don't start the Medical Weight Loss program at Swedish until this coming Thursday, I have started to try and alter my eating habits. I had the orientation session the Monday before last and they gave a general overview of the program, which included a suggested break down for calorie intake. The ideal breakdown of 40% lean protein, 40% carbohydrates, and 20% fat. This is very different to how I have previously eaten, I am very low on the protein, and high on the carbs. Another major change for me is that for the first three months they want me to cut starches out of my diet. During the past week I have been starting to cut back on the starches, increasing my fruits and vegetables to make up the carb calories, and increase protein. The increase in protein is making jeckcrow happy. Now back to work.

So last night traffic was horrible, and I was unable to get over to get off on the Lake City exit in the express lanes, so I had to go up to the Northgate exit to get off. Deciding to grab Orange Chicken from Panda Express for dinner I stopped at Northgate mall. On a whim I decided to make a stop in GameStop and asked if they had a Wii in stock.

To my surprise they did. I have been looking for a Wii for awhile, so I bought it immediately. So for the next few days I will be playing with my new toy. :)

This year I actually plan on sending out Christmas Cards, as I still have the cards that I bought last year. I am posting to a pool to both LJ and IJ you only need to fill out once.
If you would like a Christmas card please fill out the following poll:

1. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself. 2. Tag seven people to do the same. 3. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag whoever wants to do it.
1. I have a hard time sitting/standing still when there is music with a good beat (I end up dancing in my chair at work when I listen to music).
2. I am a country girl a heart, though if you looked at my the music on my iPod you would see that I liked country, but have a hard time figuring out what my favorite music is.
3. When I am in a creative mood, I crave something to chew on (normally ends of being the pen/penicl I am writing with, if I am lucky I have a good snack close by to munch on), for some reason it keeps be focused.
4. I am completely numbers oriented, I catch myself counting things randomly (i.e. tile in the ceiling of a doctors office, number of steps when i am on the treadmill, number of beats in a song).
5. When I was little if I didn't want to eat something that my parents were trying to feed me I would tell them, "I don't like xxxxx, because you gave it to me in my bottle."
6. Music helps me fall asleep, but it has to be at the correct volume otherwise I end up waking up when the music stops.
7. I add salt to almost all my food, minus drinks, and desserts.

So you know that it is going to be a long day when you go and grab a plate when you are wanting to make yourself a bowl of cereal. To top that off, this was three hours into my workday. Luckily for me, I realized what I was doing when I way about to pour the cereal on the plate (No mess was made). Okay now back to work.

I successfully backed up my LJ on both GJ and IJ with Journal migration tool made by Antennapedia for the Mac. I am very happy with the results. I know that there are a few of you out there that also are on Mac, and would suggest that you try it if you are wanting to back-up/migrate entries to another LJ clone.

I am not much of a make-up person, but thought that I would share.
In case you haven't heard, there is a make-up line (featured on Oprah) called E.L.F. - stands for eyeslipsface . Anyway, it is a higher end line that Nordstrom's has recently purchased...so, they have put a large portion of their on-line inventory on clearance. Everything is only $1.00. You can enter promo code "carolina" and it will take 50% off your order (up to $10 off).

All things considered this weekend was good. Saturday played some WoW with jeckcrow, read a portion of Deathly Hallows, and pretty much relaxed. Sunday on the other hand was not a nice. Woke up a 3:30am with a migraine, took medicine and went back to sleep. Woke up a few hours later, read some more DH. Migraine decided that it wasn't going to go awhile. Repeated process four more times through-out the day.
I finished DH, and will most likely be posting my opinions later this week.
Luckily my migraine decide that one days was enough and did not reappear this morning. Well, I really should be back to the work that I should be doing.

So this morning was like many other. My alarm clock went off, and like a zombie I headed to the shower (My alarm goes off at 4:30am as I live on the west coast, but have to work east coast hours because that is there the main stock exchange is located). Nothing unusual, just my morning routine. Then I got to work same thing as usual for the first 30 minutes. Then we are told they will be doing fire alarm testing (they did it early because there are few people in the building). If I wasn't awake before the 10 minutes (though I am sure it was probably not that long, but it felt like it) of the fire alarm going off and the lights flashing, I sure was when they were done. Now back to work.
